Raiding Rules *MUST READ*

Post by Turttles on Mon Aug 18, 2008 1:59 am

Dear Guild Members & Future Guild Members,

It has come to my attention that some guild members are thinking that they can just wait for Kara or any raid to come confused every weekend to get better gear for raiding. We will soon be changing this and require members who wish to raid to have the level of gear needed for Kara. Those who do not meet those requirements will not be going.

Those individuals that don’t yet have the gear should be doing Heroics and Battleground or whatever else you need to do to get that better gear to start raiding with the guild.

Raid Attendance – Soon to be Implemented

Core raiders are given first priority on guild raid nights. All others must sign up via the Raid Sign-up forum. Priority will be given in order of sign up. 2 out of 3 raids must be attended to be considered for a core raider spot. Core raiders must attend 2 out of 3 raids in order to maintain their spot as a core raider. If you sign up for a raid via the website, you are expected to attend that raid, and are expected to be on time for that raid.

Loot Rules

An officer, on off night raids, or the raid leader will be set as master looter prior to the start of the raid. Loot will be shown to the raid for need roll first, and can only be rolled on if it fits your current spec.
i.e. A shadow priest can't roll need on a cloth healing piece of loot
If no one in the raid rolls need, the piece of loot will be shown to the raid for greed roll. Greed roll is used for off sets, not for disenchanting by individuals. If no one rolls on that piece of loot during the greed roll phase, the loot will be disenchanted, and the resulting item will be placed in the guild bank.

What to Bring to Raid

All raiders are expected to be online 30 minutes prior to raid, unless circumstances arise that don't allow them to do so, and prior notification has been given to the raid leader. Invites for raids will be given out 15 minutes prior to the start time of the raid. Raiders MUST have, prior to invites, a fully repaired character, health pots and mana pots (if a mana user), all required add-ons downloaded, logged on to vent, and have there character at the raid entrance. Well fed foods and elixirs are, also, strongly recommended. At the scheduled raid time, buffs will be up and the first pull will be made.

Raid Suspensions

Raid suspensions are discussed by the raid leader, officers, and offending party, prior to being given out. You may be suspended from raid for a given amount of time for: signing up for a raid and not showing up, for multiple late shows for raid, for doing anything determined detrimental to the raid, for not being prepared prior to raid start, and for any loot violations. This list is not all inclusive, and may not list other offenses that the leadership determines requires raid suspension. Most first-time offenses will given a warning prior to being taken to suspension.

Conduct during Raids

Raid members will treat each other with respect during raids. Excessive chatter will not be allowed during pulls, explanation of fights, or boss encounters. The raid leader will dictate who has assist during raid, and will be responsible for explanations and directions to raid members. Any disputes that arise during a raid will be handled after the completion of raid, unless it involves a loot issue. Each member of the raid is expected to listen to the explanation of fights, and to follow the directions given. Being attentive is important for the success of our raids.

Required Add-ons for Raid

You can obtain the add-ons from http://www.curse.com, or another site, that you know of, that has wow add-ons. We require our raid members to have DBM (deadly boss mods), Omen threat meter and the vent client. These add-ons MUST be downloaded and installed prior to the start of raid. Deadly boss mods is an add-on that displays warnings on your screen about the boss fights. Omen threat meter is to allow dps classes to manage their aggro. These are a must, there will be no exceptions made for not having your add-ons installed. If a member is found to not have these add-ons, they will be removed from the raid, and face possible raid suspension.

YOU MUST SIGN THE RAIDS RULES FORUM ON ORDER TO RAID, YOU FAIL TO DO THIS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RAID TILL YOU SIGN IT!
